Married! Alex & Natalya

Had a sweet weekend celebrating the marriage of my brother and now sister-in-law. It was the first marriage in our immediate family, and it was truly beautiful to see all of the details come together finally. Alex was a most handsome groom, & Natalya was elegantly beautiful. Their love and joy spilled over onto everyone who had the privilege of being around them in these happy days.

I realized that our family is a God-given gift. The way that everyone selflessly takes time from their lives to help out is incredible and humbling.

I also realized that marriage is beautiful. This was the first time that two people that I was very close to got married. And seeing the whole process from before they were together, to their time of dating, to engagement, and now to their marriage, is so beautiful. It still amazes me how two completely different people can become such best friends in such a short time. But I guess that is what love does. It's quite indescribable at times (speaking as a third party, with no personal experience in the matter at hand :). It was a privilege to see their relationship bloom.

Alex and Natalya have been an incredible example in my life, and I am so very thankful for them. I pray that with every day, their love will become closer to what it ought to be.
