Song // Waiting Here For You

The words in this song speak greater volumes than I could articulate.

I am so thankful that God grants His people songs

that oftentimes carry us through life,

as we sing them back to Him in praise.

There have been many songs that have touched my heart and in turn,

my life, deeply in certain seasons.

I first experienced this one at the Passion 2011 conference,

where it was sung/recorded for the first time.

The memory of tens of thousands of students united in one heartbeat,

belting out these words, honestly still moves me deeply.

This one stuck with me throughout this whole year.

 

In tough times, waiting here for You, Lord,

lifting heavy hands, but lifting them nonetheless.

In confusion, waiting here for You,

for Your faithfulness is constant and true;

You are my refuge.

In great times, it’s You we adore,

with our hands lifted high in praise, singing hallelujah.

The lyrics place such a sweet hope in Jesus; they inspire my heart.
