For the past couple of years, I had the opportunity to head over to Atlanta in January for the Passion Conference. This year, however, I am streaming live from home when I can. During the first session, I was running errands and streaming Passion 2012 live. Hah. Not the ideal situation, to be at the Michael's check out stand, touched to tears... but I am so grateful for modern technology, and the way that it opens up so many doors. (Students from every state & 96 countries were streaming live along with me... Movement.)
The conference opened up with the closing of Acclimate, a worldwide, continuous journey through the Bible for two or so weeks prior to Passion2012. Basically, the Bible was streamed three times all the way through, and students from all over chimed in when they could. What a beautiful beginning!
44,000+ students at the Georgia Dome. I'm not there physically,
but I couldn't not capture this somehow, so I used the trusty and high-tech print-screen method :)
(Forgive the poor quality, please. Also, to clarify, these stills are not mine).
Mr. Louie Giglio speaking on what it's all about: worship and justice.
The goal is to raise $1 million throughout the conference through Do Something Now for freedom.
Half of that goal was raised in the first 24 hours of the conference.
Also, a powerful word by Louie from Luke 7:11-17.
Christy Knockles leading worship. I look up to this woman so much.
I love cello.
Amazing lady, that Mrs. Shelley Giglio.
...And Mr. Kristian Stanfill and his team leading one of my favorite worship songs,
"Forever Reign." That's what it's all about. One name. Jesus.
If you are interested, stream live HERE throughout this week. Be inspired. Be encouraged.
All of the main sessions + late nite concerts (including David Crowder Band's last show ever)
will stream live as they go, with the main sessions being available for replay for an additional 24 hours.
Be blessed!
