So much to do, so little time. An overstated excuse of many Americans for why we can never take a moment to be still. We are always on the run. Always busy. Never stopping long enough to breathe deep enough or to truly take in the beauty of the moment. I love that about photography... the beauty of stopping and noticing something enough to want to record it. And even then, my mind is often still racing, filled with light metering + composition, etc.
Is there any way to be still? Any place at all where we can stop to ponder and truly rest. Rest from the busyness of our minds, our lives, and our often complacent lifestyles?
Psalm 62 holds the key to this. I read this a couple of nights ago and was filled to the brim with encouragement, hope, and true rest. Sunrise to sunset, my soul finds rest in Him alone.
