A midnight break from my studies led to this composition of my little sister.
She is growing to be quite the pretty young lady.

Inspire // Jayesslee

Lately, I've been inspired by Sonia and Janice of Jayesslee. These Korean Australian twins,

initially unexpected to them, have become quite the YouTube sensation over the past few years.

They are so cute and I adore their covers and harmonies. 

Their videos make me want to pick up my guitar more often.

The beautiful thing is that they are not just inspiring on a musical/creative/entertainment level, 

but also in a deeper sense, evident in their testimony video below. 

It is so encouraging to see the way these girls are using their worldwide platform

to carry a Name bigger than their own,
testifying of our God who gives hope in midst of brokenness.

Hope Is You

When I think it's me...

My strength, my will, my wisdom

 that gets me through the days...

I'm in need of a huge reality check.

Because truth is,

it's not me.

And thank God it is so!

If it wasn't, who knows where I'd be?

Definitely not where I am now.

It's in Him that I move and live and have my being.

Thank you, Lord, that it is You.

Weekend

The best way to start off a fresh new semester is by taking a weekend off! :)

The never ending board game.

We decided to take a walk around our neighborhood one morning...

...two hours later... "We're not lost, we're just exploring."

We ended up having to cut through the snowy woods to get back to our place. Hah.

There's nothing like reading a book with a cup of coffee in a cozy cabin.

This read was a fresh reminder of my purpose in life. I recommend it.

A winter trip is made complete with a day of snowboarding and an evening on the ice.

 Love these girls. The enrich my life.

Really neat bookshelf in our cabin, constructed completely from books.

Such an awesome group of people. Thankful for time well spent together.
